Its strange but its true

In today's fragmented society, many people live alone or in very small households. This can be lonely and unsatisfying. Think out of the box & Reach out to relatives, friends, neighbors, coworkers, schoolmates, and other people around you. Can you tell how many people know you after your relatives, friends, neighbors, coworkers, schoolmates, and other people around you.

Answer is NO ONE. Its strange but its true.

It's easiest to become close to people whose lives already cross yours: neighbors, people who work at businesses you frequent, people who belong to the same church or club, etc. But friends, LIFE AS WE KNOW ItCan take U turn any time and you never know where it goes.

Have you ever imagine the situation that suddenly you come across with the boy or gal, with whom you had spent 3-4 years in college & after leaving the college you never tried to call even a single time, because you thought, WHO CARES. I have my own life now I am with new friends. But have you ever think what about your old friends. To make friends is not a big deal. Main problem is, how you maintain the friendship.

Most of  the true family you have has no blood relation. Family extends beyond genetics!

Why I am writing all this is because I found most of the college friends [taking example of mine own college] are even don't want to see each other faces. Few of mine college mates tie the knot, but not even invited anyone from college. Few of mates were very good friend at that time, but in current scenario, they even don't want to see each other faces. My question is WHY ???

I was very unhappy & ungratified...no need to explain why....& I think out of the box. Suddenly an idea came to my mind & I start blogging on internet. I share what I feel, & posted my real life experience. Posted all the details, where ever I go & one day a huge group was formed & known as Venturous Bikers. This is my first blog on the internet, on which you are reading this post, & if you like to know  more about me & all the places I visited, you can catch me @ http://venturousbikers.blogspot.com/

I also request to all of you.... pls start thinking out of the box. Don't spoil you life just like that. I don't know about others, but all of you are very very special to me. All of you have prestigious space in my life because you have spent few moments of your life with me….as a reader of my blog, where I share mine feeling with open heart. I am expecting a comment from your side also….pls keep in touch & visit again.

Late Sitting in the office

Friends, this article was posted by hounrable Narayan Murthy Ji.

It's half past 8 in the office but the lights are still on...PCs still running, coffee machines still buzzing...And who's at work? Lets Take a closer look...?

All or most specimens are ??? Something male species of the human race...?

Look closer... again all or most of them are bachelors...? And why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way man. Any guesses?? Let's ask one of them...?

Here's what he says... 'What's there 2 do after going home...Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee that is why I am working late...Importantly no bossssssss!!! This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.?

Bachelors 'Passing-Time' during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they've nothing else to do...? Now what r the consequences...? Working' (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.?

With bosses more than eager to provide support to those 'working' late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he's a hard worker.... goes home only to change..!!).? They aren't helping things too...? To hell with bosses who don't understand the difference between 'sitting' late and 'working' late!!!?

Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.?

So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family... office is no longer a priority, family is... and? That's when the problem starts... b'coz u start having commitments at home too.?

For your boss, the earlier 'hardworking' guy suddenly seems to become a 'early leaver' even if u leave an hour after regular time... after doing the same amount of work.? People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers...?

Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on time are labelled as 'not up to it'. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on 'working' not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.?

So what's the moral of the story??
??
* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!?
* Never put in extra time ' unless really needed '?
* Don't stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.?

There are hundred other things to do in the evening..?

Learn music....?

Learn a foreign language...?

Try a sport... TT, cricket..........?

Importantly, get a girl friend or boy friend, take him/her around town...?

* And for heaven's sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.?

Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *'Life's calling, where are you??'*?

Please pass on this message to all those colleagues and please do it before leaving time, don't stay back till midnight to forward this!!!?

IT'S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.?

PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DON'T KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR TIME. SIMPLE !
?

Stop Joking On Sardar

Hi Friends,

Today I received an email from one of mine friend regarding the Jokes on Sardars. I dont want to discuss that mail, but surely I will discuss, what I feel.

I really like the sense of humour but few guys are sending the jokes on Punjabis by keeping so many guys in loop. Have they ever heard a quote that goes around in muslims.... "you may say all you want about god, he belongs to all, but say anything about muhommad and that would be the last thing you ever said"

This shows the kind of relegious sentiments people posess. Not any one community. People are ready to kill each other on the slightest provocation on their relegious sentiments, and we have seen it all around us.

As far as jokes about sikhs are concerned, people who say that you can make jokes on Pandit, Sharma, verma, baaniya,  madarasis, bongs and gujjus are infact making an invalid argument.

Would the same people stop minding if the jokes are infact on hindus, muslims or christans ????

I VE SEEN MANY OF MY PUNJABI FRIENDS CRINGE WHEN THRY HEAR SARDAR JOKES.

My argument here is people should think of how would they feel if the same thing comes back to them, before they make such comments.....or jokes for there enjoyment.

Give respects to others...you will get respect in free.

Vote for Darbar Sahib as Seven Wonders of India

Yesterday I got a mail regarding the above cited topic. The guy name is Mr.Hari. He flodded the mail & forced everyone to vote for Sri Harmandir Sahib to include in the seven wonders of India.

Accordinng to him "TAJ is a wonder from so many years and now its time to include one more wonder from india in the list of 7 wonders"

Well friends, I am not agreed with this. According to me, Taj is already included in seven wonder & if we divide our own votes... we will loose both.

I replied to Mr.Hari that there is no place like Golden Temple on this planet. It is beyond any number game. Its a place  where you get solution of all d problems. A place where you can feel comfortable you relaxed even more than your own home.

I also request to all of you. Pls do not divide yourself on the basis of region or religion.

How will the change impact to you?

That depends on your:
Current job

The extent of the change

The choices you make in response to the change.

With small changes, you may not be impacted at all. With major changes, you may be doing new work, using new tools or reporting to a new manager.

When the change is implemented, each person will be affected differently. In the end, how you react to the change plays an important role in how the change will impact you.

What does change mean?

Change to a business can include:

                          • New ways of doing work.
                         • New systems or tools.
                         • New reporting structures.
                          • New job roles.
                          • New products or services.
                         • New markets or geographic locations.

What are the most important things

What are the most important things to do to get managers and supervisors supporting change management?
Building support for the change itself with managers and supervisors can be done by using ADKAR. The manager or supervisor needs:

1) Awareness of the need for change;

2) Desire to participate and support the change;

3) Knowledge on how to change;

4) Ability to implement required skills and behaviors;

5) Reinforcement to sustain the change.

Who will measure the effectiveness / Change Quality Assurance of the change?

Implementer will inform to Requester

Requester will check and forward the logs and reports to change manager

Change manager will communicate the information to others.

How to set boundaries for Inclusion/Exclusions

It depends upon various factors:

Downtime associated – Like up gradations, in some cases required downtime for e.g. replacement of a device with better one. And few can be implemented without downtime

Change Area – e.g. like it’s at user end or in the ISP infrastructure of Tulip. At end user no need for CM process

For this we have to workaround with various departments and require their inputs. This is cyclic process & would be refining by time.

Service Request and Incident

Service Request -> Request for a new PC

Incident -> My PC is not working

Incident priority - Who will determine the priority?

When an incident is logged at the Help Desk, Who will determine the priority?

Is it the user who called the Help Desk or the technical person who will work on it?

The user will always want it to be high priority, even if it is not.

The Service Desk may not have the necessary expertise to determine the priority.

The technical person will always want to make the priority low as they will be measured on SLA per priority. Who will we trust?

The priority should be a combination of urgency and impact.
Urgency is determined by the user - how quickly does he need it done.

Impact can be determined by the Help Desk if they have adequate skills to do it; otherwise it needs to be 2nd line.

The Manager needs to check incident report to check if urgency and priorities were correctly assigned and that people don't crook the process.

Difference between Incident and a problem

Here is an example:

A user's Router hangs and he raises an incident at the help desk. Help desk tells him to reboot and the incident is fixed

A few days later, his Router hangs again and help desk notice that it happened a few days before as well

Service desk raises a problem record, because rebooting the Router only solves the incident temporarily and it does to fix the root cause of whatever is causing the Router to Hang.

The problem record gets assigned to 2nd line support to do root cause analysis on what is causing the Router to hang.

They find that, the problem becomes a known error.

A change request gets raised to install a patch from the vendor of the Router.

If the patch is installed successfully, the problem and all related incidents are resolved.

When the Request reports about an outage or a drop in the Quality of Service, the Request is classified as an Incident. When the request requires a New Service to be setup, it is classified as a New Service Request.

Multiple incidents can also be associated with a single problem.

So all the problems will come to CAB for final analysis and in some cases when an incident is not associated with a problem, CAB has to analyze it & workaround for solution, before it become a problem. This should be CAB’s proactive approach/role.
