The Pakistani hackers official website www.pakhaxors.com is down from almost one week. In between it came live for few hours but again went down. According to those guys they are getting huge DDOS attack from Indian Hackers, so to protect their database they shut of their server. They have started an alternate forum also named as http://www.cyberhaxors.com . This is also down.

From last so many days, no activities has been seen by Pakistani Hackers also. Now a days all Indian Hackers are on full fire and defacing Pakistani websites. All well known Indian hackers are:

India Is Developing Cyber War Capabilities

At last India has decided to take some action on the front of protecting crucial and strategic computer systems and computer resources. India is in the process of formulating a blueprint for undertaking counter cyber warfare on unfriendly countries.

Attacks on the strategic and military computers have been on rise in India. Various reports have suggested that many military and crucial government departments have been systematically and continuously targeted by cyber criminals.

The National Security Council (NSC) is considering a proposal that would enable the Indian agencies to enhance capabilities to exploit weaknesses in the information systems of other countries and also collect online intelligence of key military activities.

The project would be given effect to by National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

It is also planned that laboratories would be set up in research institutions to simulate cyber attacks with the help of ethical hackers. These laboratories would also training intelligence agencies for offensive and defensive cyber warfare techniques.

Even cyber forensics capabilities would also be developed to analyse attacked computers. Imported software and hardware would also be analysed for backdoors and malware. A separate Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) for various crucial sectors would also be established.

This proposal is a good step in the right direction provided it is not just another promise with no will and expertise to execute it.

Exploit Vulnerability in Google's Android mobile operating system

Two security experts have released a tool for attacking Android-based smartphones.

The tool can be used by hackers to exploit a vulnerability in Google's Android mobile operating system, allowing them to steal sensitive user information including text messages from the smartphones.

Security expert Nicholas Percoco, head of Spider Labs at online payment security company Trustwave told delegates at the Defcon hackers conference in Las Vegas that the tool had been released in an attempt to force manufacturers to patch the vulnerability before it is exploited in the wild.

Percoco explained that the tool, which has been released in the form of a rootkit, allows hackers to gain total control of Android-based devices.

He said the tool enables them to steal entire contact lists, browsing information and text messages.

Speaking to news agency Reuters, Percoco said: “There are people who are much more motivated to do these things than we are. We could be doing what we want to do and there is no clue that we are there.”

The iPhone Dev Team has released a legal hack for the Apple iPhone 4. The JailbreakMe tool can be accessed through the iPhone’s Safari web browser , and enables users to download and install a variety of software and programs on their handset that have not been officially approved by Apple.

Last week, the US Copyright Office ruled that it was legal to “hack” a mobile phone in the US in order to run applications or to use a different mobile phone network. However, Apple warned that hacking an iPhone, a process known as “jailbreaking”, would void the device’s warranty.

The JailbreakMe hack works on iPhones, iPads and iPod touches running iOS 4 and iOS 4.0.1, but is not compatible with devices running the iOS 4.1 beta. There have been reports from some uses that the hack causes problems with FaceTime, Apple’s video-calling program, and the multimedia messaging functionality of the phone.

Indeed, the hack is proving so popular that some users have reported problems downloading the jailbreak, because the iPhone Dev Team’s servers have been overwhelmed by the number of visitors.

Apple has played down the significance of the hack’s release, and of the US Copyright Office’s ruling.

“The vast majority of customers do not jailbreak their iPhones,” said Apple in a statement. “This can violate the warranty, and can cause the iPhone to become unstable and not work reliably.”
